Over the years, we’ve seen that the #1 thing search engines care about is delivering high quality, useful, and relevant information to their users.

In order to do that, they need to understand a few things about your blog…

  1. Quality– is your blog an authority in your niche?
  2. Usefulness– is your blog post helpful, easy to read, in-depth?
  3. Relevance– does your blog post solve a specific problem, for a specific user?

The best practices we are about to share are tried and true techniques for helping search engines understand the answers to these questions… and rank your blog post on page 1.

Although we can’t predict exactly how the algorithms will change 2 years, or even 5 years from now, these methods are still relevant today and will probably be relevant for some time to come.

New Pool Deck Contractors In Texas: Good, or Problematic?

This is a quick description of article

Descriptor of blog story here, which could be three or so sentences long

This past year in Texas, there has been an influx of small, independent contractors looking to be hired by homeowners that need pool, and pool deck restoration. Many of these laborers broke off from larger contracting companies to capitalize on the opportunity to undercut their previous employer’s offering price because of the extreme difference in overhead cost per job. Their costs as a contractor are smaller due to the lack of superior equipment, overall workforce, administration/customer service, and the choice in products to be applied.

Coating Manufacturing companies offering “Overlay Decking” products are countless, but not all are created equal. The key differences between the products on the market can boil down to two key aspects; the percentage of polymers and what kind of polymers are in the mix. Polymers in cementitious products give the final mix bonding properties, flexibility, heat resistance, UV resistance, moisture resistance, and chemical resistance. These performance characteristics are crucial when dealing with horizontal surfaces around water. Many larger-scale contracting companies use higher tier products because of their reputation, and their brand quality is their selling points.
As a property owner, there are a few ways to tell if a contractor is using high-quality products on your property. The first method is only looking at the bag/packaging of the products. Many inferior products do not label their bags. The reason why manufacturers do not label their products is to prevent someone like a homeowner from contacting the manufacturer when an issue occurs. If you think this is against the law, you are correct. OSHA law and standards require labeling products in the construction market to prevent injury, fraud, and need the business to be accessible to the consumer. The second method is to ask your contractor what materials he is using. Contractors that are in touch with representatives of the coating manufacturer have been educated on the differences between a good and bad product and should be able to articulate to you why he is using a specific product.

Due to the amount of competition when it comes to coatings products, it is easy for a contractor or a homeowner to jump to the conclusion that “there is not much difference.” But in reality, the difference between products is tremendous. As a property owner, it is enticing to see labor costs significantly lower than the other bids, but in most cases, there is a reason why. Accountability and quality are key factors that can and will affect the outcome of your pending job. Save a headache and go with a contractor with a high-quality product and materials offering and an exceptional review track record.
